The JENDAYI COLLECTION.....The Most Extraordinary Cultural Jewely!!!!!!!

Brothers and Sisters, I was shocked and amazed to walk into the Crenshaw Mall with the intent of finding me a "silver Ankh/Nkwa" pendant and chain. I saw a brother rockin a silver scarab beetle and a Ankh on his chain and was so impressed that I decided to cop me a lil somethin. He recommended that I visit a few shops in Lermert Park, which turned out to be dissapointing. I could not find a single West African or Ancient Nubian/Kushite/Kamitic selection anywhere. I stopped in "Heroik"s and spoke with a Brother who does locks and he called a Sister named "Alicia" who makes Jewerly, she suggested that I go see her "Mentor" at the Crenshaw Mall. As I approached "Jendayi" on the first level of the Mall, I was immediately blown away to see the most beautiful West Afrikan Chess board in the window. It sold for $3500.00. and was worth it. The collection in this store was so amazing, I ended up being in there for two hours looking at the "gold, silver, diamond, african chocolate stones delicately placed and shaped in the form of: Gye Anyame and other Adinkra symbols, Pyramids, Lotus Plants, Ankhs/Nkwa, Scarab beetles and more.......There is no collection like it in the City.

I must add that the Owner  was one of the wisest, informed, humble, genius, Brothers that I met in a long time.....What Did I purchase??????? well when he is done making it, I will show it to you.....

WE Salute You Geronimo "Ji Jaga" Pratt May the Ancestors welcome You..

R.I.P the Giant and General Ji Jaga Pratt. He "wested" recently in his home in Tanzania. His "setting" is still under investigation, but the informal report is that it may have been from "natural causes" and more specifically, malaria related. I had the oppurtunity to speak with young Africans about Ji Jaga while in Ghana. I visited the Kwame NKrumah Mausulem that was renovated by the "Ji Jaga Foundation". I had alot of respect for the brother and frequently had contact with some of his family members. We can all learn from this fearless, wise, patient, strong, and dedicated mans life........

We Love You....and may the Ancestors embrace you.....Hetep

R.I.P M.Bone

Rest in Peace M.Bone, victim of another senseless killing. Brothers we are looking stupid with all this senseless violence. Just as a side note: "IF YOUR GIRL IS HAVING SEX WITH ANOTHER MAN, SHE AINT YOUR GIRL.......SHE'S "YALS" GIRL". And besides, there are millions of women on the planet, just go get another one. Duh........

We must stand against the acts of stupidity in our community.....
